Agenda for  Two Rivers  Annual Subdivision Meeting: Thursday, June 8 @ 6:45 pm @ Library

5/24/2017

A more concise listing of the Two Rivers Subdivision public meeting agenda:

  1. Introduction (6:45-6:50
  2. Elections (6:50-7:05)
  3. Finances (7:05-7:15)
  4. Assessments (7:15-7:16)
  5. Neighborhood Issues and Enforcement (7:16-7:30) (we won't yell at anyone).
  6. Covenants (7:30-7:45) (includes potential renewal and modification of the existing covenants.)
  7. Strategic Plan (7:45-7:50) (the grand plans of the acting ACB - new and exciting stuff!)
  8. Issues from the floor – general discussion (7:50-8:00)

The meeting will start PROMPTLY at 6:45pm.  I guarantee it will end by 8:00 (although they don't kick us out until 8:30, so we can chat informally while the ACB tears down the chairs and gets the room back into order.)  The meeting is at the Mukwonago Community Library, 511 Division Street, Mukwonago, WI 53149

If you feel there's something missing from the agenda, suggest something in the comments! (or send us something through the Contact Us page.)  I didn't post all of the details of each section, but if you'd like more details, I'd be happy to share.

Ed Melchior
Acting Treasurer and Acting Webmaster

Mukwonago Community Library
Topics (If you would like topics added to the agenda, please write a comment to this post.):
  • Election of 3 new ACB members – the current board has decided for a variety of personal reasons to resign from the ACB.  Three residents have volunteered, and need to be confirmed by a vote.  The three candidates are:
    • Brad Bettinger (Brad has volunteered for Co-Chair)
    • Kent Pederson (Kent has volunteered for Co-Chair)
    • Ed Melchior (Ed has volunteered for Treasurer)
    • All three candidates will speak at the meeting, and a vote will be the first order of business
    • Other candidates are welcome to nominate themselves.  If you wish to run for the ACB, all candidates will have the opportunity to speak in support of their candidacy at the meeting.  You can either let Brad, Ed, or Kent know, or simply speak up at the start of the meeting to declare your candidacy.
  • Enforcement issues
    • Lights
      • There will be some discussion about repairability or replacement
      • Working out suitable replacements for parts no longer available
    • Trees – most lots are required to have two (dead trees must be replaced.  Note that lots with less frontage may not be able to place two trees in the space between the sidewalk and street.)
    • Trailer and SUV parking in driveways
    • Unregistered cars
    • Garbage cans
    • street parking - overnight, blocking garbage cans, blocking mailboxes, which side of the street
    • Others?
  • Status of the covenants
    • The covenants will expire in 2023 if no action is taken, and many residents have expressed an interest in keeping the community standards going.
    • Potential modifications
      • Clarity on what is enforceable
      • Community standards for things like lamps and mailboxes
      • election and replacement procedures for ACB members
      • Do we want a social committee or a funding mechanism to let others organize get-togethers (or block parties) with reimbursements – or can this group (if made) coordinate the rummage sale?
      • We need ideas!  What do you think the covenants should say?
  • Legal consultation
    • Covenant renewal
    • Covenant restating
    • Enforcement
    • Voting procedures
  • Assessments
    • Establishing a regular schedule
    • Establishing a set amount
    • Establish guidelines for all expenditures

Refreshments will be served (muffins and cookies).
