Rules Enforcement
We've engaged in two legal actions in the history of the subdivision. One was for a driveway that was not completed for several years after the house was completed. This sad story ended in a bankruptcy and eventual completion of the driveway before the sale of the home.
The other legal action was the result of a resident building a quite loud piece of recreational equipment (a skateboard halfpipe) within a few feet of the neighbor's bedroom window. This case resulted in a judgement against the builder of the halfpipe, and a citation for contempt of court after a refusal to remove the ramp after the judgement. The ramp was eventually removed.
These are the only covenants violation that have gone beyond three letters. We really want to avoid legal action, and only resort to that in extreme cases (two in twenty years). We do not fine anyone (not provided for in the covenants), and we want to enjoy our neighborhood as much as you do. Lets be neighbors!

Parking
According to the Covenants, "Recreational vehicles, including all trailers, shall not be kept, parked or stored on any lot outside of an enclosed garage without the prior approval ofthe Architectural Control Board. Recreational vehicles shall not be used or operatedwithin the Subdivision except on dedicated streets in accordance with applicable traffic laws."
Please don't keep RVs, boats, or trailers on your lot outside. Anything inside is fine. If a resident wants to keep an RV or boat in their driveway for a few days either before or after use, we'd appreciate a quick note through our contact us page. While there is no hard and fast limit of how long a boat or RV can be kept outside, if such a vehicle comes to our attention as having been there for more than a week, a letter requesting its removal may be sent.

Garbage screening, Trash Pickup and Recycling
Trash and recycling bins should be screened from public view, either by a short fence or be kept inside.
Requests to build still need to be approved by the ACB before garbage screen construction. Keep in mind that garbage screening should match the design of the house, and should be built with professional standards. As with all construction, garbage screening must be maintained at all times.
Two Rivers' waste disposal and recycling is provided by Johns Disposal of Whitewater, under contract by the Village of Mukwonago. There is no fee for trash disposal or recycling - it is included in the property tax bill. If you just want to know when they're coming to pick up your junk, recycling, or yard waste, jump right to the 2017 Collection Schedule. Johns Disposal has some General Village of Mukwonago disposal information, and some people may want to know what the Village of Mukwonagosays about refuse collection.
Have your trash and recycling out on the curb before 6:00 am and the night before for a holiday pickup (pickups after a holiday may be much earlier than normal).

Covenants
The Two Rivers Subdivision is located in the Village of Mukwonago, within Waukesha County in Southeastern Wisconsin. The Subdivision Covenants are the guidelines used by the Architectural Control Board to insure appropriate lot improvements that protect lot owners against changes that detract from the value of their property and preserve, as far as it is practicable, the natural beauty of the Subdivision, among other objectives. The Covenants were recorded in the Register of Deeds for Waukesha County on September 6, 1996, and updated by the developer on Nov 3, 1998.
